Thys Beukes

Thys has always shown a great interest in music since a young age. Also, his parents were very involved with his music development. His dad, for instance, played an Elvis “impersonater” and so kept the old classics alive! Furthermore, Sunday nights they used to listen to music and had big discussions regarding the artists’ performances.

Since school, he participated in numerous school concerts sharing his talent in recorder and piano  He also had a lot of passion for his weekly guitar lessons. During Highschool he entertained at weddings and performed at various functions.

Thys is also a registered professional property valuator and owner of a valuation company – MRB Property Valuation. After working for the government as Deputy Principal in the Property-Management Department for 17 years, he resigned to work in the private sector. He started his own company in 2014 which has grown to be one of the leading valuation companies in South Africa.

Being an enthusiastic Christen, Thys is very passionate about his work and music. Also very involved and active in the church “worship team”. He is now living in the Western Cape and is living life to the fullest!

Eugene Prinsloo

Eugene developed his love for music, just like Thys, from the role of his dad’s involvement. His dad owned a very successful sound company.  This resulted in the company assisting with all sound, stage, and light arrangements during rather big and important functions. He and his brother met well-known artists by carrying speakers around and setting up their stages.

Eugene is a very well-known sound engineer. Clearly, this developed during his years being involved in the family business in the sound industry. Walking in his father’s footsteps he also started his own successful recording studio.

He was also a co-owner of a well-known live music venue in Kimberley. This is where he had the opportunity to work with other South African artists. Unfortunately, like many other venues in South Africa, they had to close their doors because of Covid. Fortunately, he is now looking forward to new beginnings and is living in the beautiful Western Cape!
